Repeat Prescriptions

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS – 48 HOUR SERVICE

If the doctor agrees, the patient may obtain their regular medication by repeat prescription.  When your doctor places your medication on the computerised repeat prescribing system you will receive a computer generated tear-off request slip attached to your prescription.  To request a further supply of medication:

Tick the relevant boxes on your request slip for the medicine(s) you require.

Hand in the request slip, preferably by placing it in the prescription box (located at main reception desk counter) or post in the slip with a stamped addressed envelope.

Please allow 48 hours before you uplift the prescription from the reception desk.  If you are housebound or have special difficulty accessing the surgery, you may telephone your request (please  telephone after 10.30 am).  If you are unable to collect your prescription your chemist may be prepared to deliver it to you.  If you receive repeat prescriptions and have not been seen by a doctor for some time, you may be asked to make an appointment to attend for a review.  The practice is not a dispensing practice.
